Spanish A level webinars on analytical writing
The start of a new, a new series of webinars for 2023 this time for Spanish, by popular demand. We examine how to teach the film analytically at the same time as building up target language skills.
Starting with what the requirements are for the paper 2 including importance of context and knowing names of characters we then:-
- Look at playing with key vocabulary in grammatical contexts
- Demonstrate how analysis works at the sentence level
- Move on to creation of analytical paragraphs
- Examine how to prepare students to provide detailed evidence to illustrate their points in a variety of ways
- Learn how to examine forensically the protagonists' character and motivations
- Look at how to incorporate technical/stylistic detail for both literature and cinema
- Look at the importance of planning and how to do it
- Recommend ways of tackling first essays and how to improve them
You will receive a 22 page booklet which accompanies the PowerPoint and will receive the zoom recording of the event afterwards. Please note that this is not part of the subscription.
